In Remembrance of those we lost ...

Bartlett pays tribute to 9/11 at Ellendale Baptist Church

Mayor McDonald opened the service with words of comfort and encourgement

The service on Sunday was "Where was God on September 11?" A question asked by many. Pastor Harmon did a great job explaining God was with us - helping us to rebuild our country and our lives after the disaster. Although it was hard to explain, it was the will of evil men that hurt us, God was there to help us.

The Police Department Honor Guard Presented the Colors at the beginning of the service

Let's Roll - In Remembrance 9/11

The flag placed at the ruins of the Twin Towers reminded many of Iwo Jima

There was nothing left of Flight 93 except a huge hole outside Shanksville, PA

So we never forget that day in September in 2001, let us hold in our hearts the memories of the first responders who gave their lives so that others may live. Those who ran into burning buildings as others ran out; those who rushed the cockpit of an airplane to crash it in a field instead of the White House or Capitol; those who were working at their desks at the Pentagon to secure our Nations security - The real heroes of September 11, 2001 will never be forgotten. On this tenth anniversary of a tragedy that shook our nation to it's core, let us all stop and remember the patriotism, the comradarie, the courage that we felt afterward and ask God to bless our Nation with brotherhood and safety and fearlessness as we rise to fight our enemies now and in the future. Innocence died that day along with more than 3,000 Americans - we, as a nation, will never be the same. We are stronger, smarter and more determined to defeat and destroy those who hate us. We have no choice. They will never stop, and we will never stop building a country based on freedom, liberty and equality. And no worries Todd - we are "Rolling".
