John "Bad Dog" McCormack

John "Bad Dog" McCormack

We all loved his sense of humor and his humble heart. John "Bad Dog" McCormack died March 10, 2011. McCormack was a disc jockey at Rock 103 in Memphis for many years. Many of us grew up listening to the Morning Crew and laughing along with Bad Dog's antics. He will be greatly missed by his fans who all felt close to him, just from the sound of his voice.

Late John "Bad Dog" McCormack Makes Time in His Final Days for Ellendale ES Students

With many around Memphis still saddened by the news of John "Bad Dog" McCormack's passing, Ellendale Elementary School Principal BessAnne McKnight wanted his fans to know what a beloved member of the Ellendale community he was. She said McCormack made time in his final days to participate in Ellendale's Community Readers program on Tuesday, March 1, adding that he couldn't have been more kind while reading to about 100 children from all five Kindergarten classes.

"The kids loved him," McKnight said. "What an incredible heart he had to take time to come to a gym full of Kindergartners and read even though he was ill.  I just think this demonstrates what a truly great person he was."* 5555 Tylertown Avenue * Bartlett, Tennessee 38134 * Phone: (901) 606-3836 Fax: (901) 248-0681 Email
